I actually drew the sketch for this ages ago. So long ago, in fact... that the way I did the line art makes very little sense to even me.
Granted, the way I do this kind of thing is already patently nonsense... and part of why i vastly prefer black and white doodling is because I can get away with a ton of bizarre and unhelpful "shortcuts"...
Background is white? Just cover up anything the lower layers shouldn't show through with white also! Whaddya mean "what about adding a background later"?! ... backgrounds ...
